You already have a pair of walking shoes, can you hold off buying another pair?
3) USE YOUR DEBIT CARD TO MAKE THOSE NEEDED PURCHASES. If you don’t have the money in your account, don’t make the purchase. We need to learn to budget and say NO to ourselves. Does anyone have saving funds anymore? One for Christmas, one for birthdays, one for vacations, etc. Do we continue to charge things that aren’t within our means? People are even charging phone bills and property taxes. We need to plan for these expenses, or we’ll be in big trouble!
4) DON’T GET OVERWHELMED! Start with one expense that you’d like to eliminate and go from there. Maybe pack your lunch for work this week. Maybe take your coffee to work instead of stopping at Starbucks. Perhaps go to the library instead of purchasing that New York Bestsellers book. Something. Just start somewhere. Take some action. And then, stick with it. You’re going to have to make sacrifices, and it’s going to hurt. Remember, you’re tough, so stick with it.
