Payday Loans Cost Less Than Bounced Checks
I was doing a search online for some tips on building credit and saving money. I found this on credit.com, “The average bounced check fee is over $27, according to Bankrate.com. That’s just the fee you pay to the bank; you could be on the hook for another $25 or more to the company or person that deposited your rubber check. One check could set you back $50 in fees alone! “
Murrieta and Temecula CA Without Power
Thursday morning our friends in Murrieta and Temecula, CA were without electricity. It did not have an effect on our main office which is also located in the area. Southern California Edison posted on their website that there were actually two different outages in separate neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods in and around Murrieta Hot Springs and Margarita Road through Date Street experienced had to go without electricity starting at 8 am. Believe it or not, we even had a call from a customer that requested a loan so that he could pay his electric bill. He called later to say that he no longer needed the loan because his lights were back on! It was funny, but it made us happy that our customers can depend on us no matter what the emergency might be.
What will you do with your NEW YEAR? 2010
Here, at Spotya!, would like to wish you HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Did you write your Resolution List? Are you going to lose 20 lbs this year? Are you going to save more money this year? Are you going to budget this year? Are you going to go back to school?
What is it that you want to do NOW?
Merry Christmas!
Whatever you’re doing this time of year, I hope that you truly enjoy!!!!
Now that Black Friday has passed…
What deals did you get?
Did you think that the economy discouraged shoppers to get out there?
Any interesting stories out there? The only one I have (because I stay away from crowds and spending money) is there was a lady at Best Buy on Wednesday, starting the line. She was telling us that she was going to do shifts with some friends….even through Thanksgiving day! I wonder if it was worth it.
Thanksgiving Turkey Questions
We are doing the Thanksgiving turkey dinner at our home this year.
I just have two questions:
- Where are you getting your turkey?
- Can you really taste the difference between a Butter Ball turkey vs. any other turkey?
Send me your comments.
Discounted Halloween Costume
I bought my son his costume through Spirit Halloween. I didn’t have to pay full price with this coupon code “SOCIETY” and I didn’t have to spend a bunch of money. Love it@!
Board Games are making a comeback
Recently I read an article by CNN stating that board games are making a comeback into homes. Board games may be the ancient past time hobby in comparison to high-tech video games. Yet the awe-inspiring video games are becoming harder and harder to fit into family budgets. Just because budgets are tight, that doesn’t mean entertainment is out the window. Families are now purchasing less-expensive entertainment (Monopoly, Clue, etc.) to entertain little ones. Honestly this change may just be a change for the better. Instead of young ones staring at violent video games, they are now playing classic board games with parents, sibling, or hopefully the entire family. This may just lead an increase to family time, and give the television a much needed break. To read the full article : money.cnn.com
Bing, the new search engine
I recently saw a commercial for bing, this new and improved search engine that was supposedly launched by Microsoft. I was curious to take a look at this new site, and was quite satisfied.
I am always intrigued with new search engines who try to compete with Google, Oh the all-knowing google. I give brownie points to those who try to compete. To my appeal the Bing search engine has scenic images all around the world, which captured my attention. Anyways take a look Bing
School is just right around the corner..
I know school is the last thing on everyones mind, but it slowly is approaching.
Start the school year off right with the proper materials and the right mind set. Plan on how to keep oneself (or onselves children) on track, organized, and not rushing around last minute to gather supplies. Keep in mind what needs to be done, purchased, and gathered. A great way to collect all the ideas together is to create a list of supplies, clothing, books, etc.
